During these past months, many have stopped us on the streets in passing and asked when and where they would find us making music. Thank you to each of you for your interest and support!

The Irish Creme Band does not have any future commitments and is on a permanent hiatus.

Music has been and continues to be a joy and privilege, however, the time is not afforded to continue “working” as we have.

Saturday, January 26, 7pm to 10pm at the Lookingglass Grange, 7426 Lookingglass Road, Roseburg, Oregon. Note: 7pm to 7:30pm join in the dancing workshop.

Bring on the cold!!! We will warm you up in a hurry! The Irish Creme Band will be teaming up with caller Karen Olsen from Coquille, at the Grange when they host another Contra Dance. Contra dancing has been around since the late 1700′s and continues to re-surface due to the simple pleasures it provides for all ages. Get to know a neighbor, bring your family or best friend; all ages are welcome. Just come in casual attire and comfy shoes; remember once you try it you will not want to sit back down.

Yep, as all bands do, Irish Creme is putting the cap on the bottle for a while. Four years of working on great music, for great friends and fans, great venues, and just great fun, has worn us all out. A much-needed break away from hauling equipment, booking gigs, weekly rehearsing, sending out press, and organizing events is way overdue. Thank you to every one who helped to energize, motivate, support, and keep us running; it was an absolute blast!!

Happy Christmas? Don’t you mean Merry?

Well, though we are accustomed to saying Merry (stemming from the word “pleasant”)Christmas here in North America, it is commonplace to say Happy Christmas in Ireland and the United Kingdom. Hmmmm, interesting!

This is because the term “merry” there still has the alternative meaning of “tipsy” or “drunk”.

LOL! Well if we wanted to hang on to the stereotypical jokes of the Irish…. Merry Christmas would be right on!

None the less – from our clan to yours – Have a Merry Happy Christmas!

Friday, December 7, 6pm to 8:30pm at the Umpqua Valley Arts Association, 1624 Harvard Avenue, Roseburg, Oregon.

Irish Creme will hit the Arts Center with bells on for this fun-filled fundraising evening. Music for the Arts has become a favorite among those who love good food, wine, art and yes, music. The Arts Center galleries will be open and the halls decked for the holidays; what better way to end a long work week than to take your favorite person out to dinner and music. Irish music and Christmas music Celtic style! Hope you can join us, and support this great cause too!

Some say “The Devil is Dead” … oooooooooo, perhaps not… yikes!

Aleta and friends, Joe Ross and Bill Ilari will team up to bring a smooth nights musical potluck to the Country Club. If the weather permits, we will be out on the patio, otherwise find us inside overlooking the greens. The evening will be filled with Country, Pop, Folk, Jazz and a bit of Bluegrass for a great dining experience after your golfing fun.

Join the Irish Creme Band for a Celtic music marathon during Music on the Deck at Pyrenees. The September months are the when the vineyards are in their prime during which the colors of the vines have begun to change as the fall season nears. Come out and relax on the river deck with great wines and also an offering of food by Creative Catering.
